My motherboard software is requesting an update, I'm currently telling it to 'swivel' and not allowing it. A decision that has backfired by consuming gigajoules of additional energy through tens of thousands of hours of collective troubleshooting, damaging Ubisoft's reputation and giving headaches to tech support who are in the trenches. Either the game is not properly supporting GFX cards and motherboards older than a year, or there has been some cretinous, hippy-minded decision at Ubisoft, nVidia or MSI to save the planet via coding an energy saving profile. I suspect there is some resource throttling happening and Far Cry 6 is not requesting resources properly. Looking into the service log for this process, there are these events: This problem I fixed by disabling the following service, file information and default path below:
#Evga precision x osd not working doom update#
I performed a system restore and the problem went away, then came back after a short time so it looks like either a windows update or more likely the motherboard software. Difficult to say when it first occurred - but a software update caused it.Multiple startup services related to my motherboard.

Yes, the in-game benchmark tool showed extremely poor performance.
